Alamance Community College’s Public Information and Marketing Department has been honored with the Bronze award for its innovative branding guidebook at the 2024 Medallion Awards, hosted by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR).

The Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges nationwide. This year, the competition was particularly competitive with over 600 entries from various institutions nationwide.

The awarded branding guidebook has been instrumental in distinguishing ACC from other area schools. It provides a dynamic branding framework that enhances all college communications. The guidebook details the strategic use of logos, typography, color palettes, and more, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all platforms and media.

Sarah Hardin, Associate Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs at ACC, shared her thoughts on the achievement: "Winning this award shines a light on our team’s dedication to branding and marketing. Our branding guidebook is more than just guidelines—it tells the story of who we are and what we stand for at ACC. To be recognized in such a broad and competitive arena is truly rewarding and confirms that our brand identity is on point."

This award is particularly significant as it validates the college’s strategic efforts over the past three years to develop a branding identity that resonates well within the community and positions ACC as a leader in education. The success of the branding guidebook in the highly competitive NCMPR Medallion Awards proves that these efforts have not only been recognized, but also celebrated within the higher education community.
