New Textbook Access Model Starting Summer 2025

Beginning Summer 2025, ACC is launching a new digital textbook model to give students faster, more affordable access to course materials. Students will be charged $80 per digital textbook title for applicable courses, and materials will be available electronically through Moodle on the first day of class.

Many courses will continue to offer free materials, and students may opt out if they prefer to purchase books on their own (must apply to all courses). The opt-out form is linked below and should be submitted to the Cashier’s Office (S-Building).

Financial assistance is available through the textbook scholarship, and students in select high school programs may have their fees covered.

To view and pay your book fees, please follow the instructions, or you may pay in person at the Cashier’s Office.

OPT OUT

Students can opt out of the program and purchase books independently if they wish during the opt-out window, and anyone who has opted out can opt back in during that same time frame. The opt-out window for the Summer 2025 term opens April 30, and the closing date is determined by your course schedule and shown in the "View Materials / Opt Out-Opt In" link.

Frequently Asked Questions

The price for BibliU is a flat $80 fee per digital textbook (ISBN), significantly reducing your overall textbook expenses.

Since the charge is placed on your student account, you can pay the charge as you pay off all charges on your semester bill.

If you dropped the course before the opt-out deadline, you will receive a refund. If you drop after the opt-out deadline, you will still be responsible for the charge.

Students who opt out of the program will still pay the fees during registration, but receive a refund by way of the refund preference selected; however, refunds will not be issued until after the 10% mark of the course. Students who opt out will also lose access to the course material and competitive pricing, and will need to purchase the required course material on their own. Students should consult with their instructor before deciding to opt out.
