Four ACC students in the Accounting and Business Administration department participated in a competition recently on at the Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNC-Greensboro and did very well. The competition was based on each team developing and presenting well designed solutions to a business case.

ACC team members were Winnie Mwayi, Joshua Wilson, Ruth Lugo and Heather Kline.  Dr. Keith Graves and Christopher Swinton, Department Head, served as faculty advisors.

ACC’s student team began their learning and practice sessions for the competition in early February following an invitation from an ACC Business Administration alumnus who now works as UNC-G student organizer. This alum wanted to ensure that ACC was well represented at the competition, said Dr. Keith Graves.

Although the ACC team did not win the competition, they displayed their business knowledge, problem-solving, presentation skills, and competitive spirit and impressed the judges and other competitors.
