Graham, N.C. - The Alamance Community College (ACC) Foundation has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Truist Foundation to support the ACC Small Business Center (SBC) in advancing its mission to strengthen small businesses through Alamance County.
The funding will be used to develop and expand training, technical assistance, support services, and educational programming for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
“Together, these collaborations form a robust network of education, business, and workforce stakeholders dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs at every stage—from ideation through launch and growth. This interconnected approach ensures the Small Business Center's clients receive comprehensive, coordinated assistance that accelerates business success and regional economic growth,” said Phydesia Lewis, Director of the Small Business Center at Alamance Community College.
The Truist Foundation's support reflects its ongoing commitment to inclusive economic mobility and community development across the region. Mitch Gibson, Senior Vice President, Director of CRA Community Development at Truist, served as the primary contact for the grant.
Through this grant, the ACC Small Business Center will continue to build a coordinated network of support for entrepreneurs at every stage of business development — from initial idea and startup through sustained growth — helping accelerate business success and long-term economic growth throughout Alamance County.
