What is WiSDEM?

WiSDEM stands for Women in Industrial Science, Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing. WiSDEM is designed to support and empower women who are interested in or already working in industrial fields such as science, design, engineering, and manufacturing.

Annual Girls Take Over Tech Event 2024

Monday, April 8th at 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM at Sandvik Coromant
295 Maple Lane, Mebane, NC 27302

Join us for an unforgettable learning experience at Sandvik Coromant's Girls Take Over Tech Open House event! Held in collaboration with Alamance Community College's WiSDEM group, our event is intended to inspire and educate young women about exciting career opportunities in Industrial Science, Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

At the Open House, attendees will have the chance to:

• Interact with industry professionals
• Witness live machining and tooling demonstrations
• Tour our Production Unit for an inside look at manufacturing processes and environments
