Alamance Community College (ACC) was named the 2024 Community Partner of the Year by the Alamance Chamber during its annual meeting on January 28.
“As the Economic Development Organization in Alamance County, the Alamance Chamber understands the importance of strong partnerships in our efforts to recruit industry, grow jobs, and support entrepreneurs,” said Reagan Gural, President & CEO of the Alamance Chamber. “We are proud to recognize Alamance Community College as the 2024 Community Partner of the Year for their continued leadership in education and workforce development. This recognition is well-deserved, and we look forward to continuing our partnership as we work together to build a brighter future for Alamance County.”
During the award presentation, ACC was cited for its broad commitment to the local community:
- ACC partners with the Chamber in recruiting industry, growing jobs, and championing entrepreneurs. ACC never fails to meet the demands of the community.
- Over the years, ACC has grown curriculum, developed new programs, and invested in new structures to meet the demand of skills needed to make Alamance County competitive and attractive to business and industry.
- In 2024, ACC made a commitment to pilot a program working with the Fiber Broadband Association OpTIC Path certification to ensure a local business can recruit the workforce they need to be successful.
