1. One letter of recommendation:
The person writing the letter of support should email or mail the recommendation directly to the Honors Program Coordinator (see contact information below). The letter needs to address the student’s previous and potential academic performance. Areas of focus should address the student’s written, verbal, and critical thinking skills.

Please have your letter of recommendation emailed directly to john.neathery@alamancecc.edu from the person who is recommending you.

2. Applicants need to write a 250-400 word essay and submit it with their application:
Please select and submit an essay that addresses one of the following topics:

Describe a project or experience that has influenced your interest in academics.
Describe a challenging situation in your life and how you overcame it.
Describe a creative project you have completed and what you learned from it.
