ACE MACHINING BOOTCAMP
ACC's Machining program is the first Community College Machining program to be certified as an “America’s Cutting Edge” (ACE) training center.
ACE is a federal initiative involving the University of Tennessee and NC A&T, plus local partners like ACC, that seeks to increase the amount of local skilled machinists.
This initiative consists of a two-part training, free to all students, of 6-8 hours
of a web-based online introduction to Computer Numerical Control (CNC), followed by
an optional 40-hour hands-on training in ACC's machine shop.
