Digging Into Excellence: Elevate Your Skills as a Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator curriculum prepares students to efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, haul trucks, wheel loaders and to perform basic preventive maintenance. Course topics and assignments includes construction safety, property equipment operation, grades, drawings, environmental concerns, heavy equipment design characteristics and features, equipment maintenance, and common equipment systems. The course aligns with the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Heavy Equipment Operation credentials.
