Helping to inspire and galvanize small business innovators
OVERVIEW
Entrepreneurialism makes an important contribution to the economic landscape of local communities as well as the global economy. These contributions include the creation of jobs, competitive markets, as well as new businesses and innovative ideas.
For business owners, the benefits of becoming a successful entrepreneur may include economic mobility, more flexibility with family, time management, and financial independence; however, the journey to becoming an entrepreneur is often met with unique challenges that range from minor hurdles to significant barriers at the start of their endeavor.
The Annual Clapp’s Entrepreneurship Opportunity - so named in honor of Mr. Vernon Clapp, a successful businessman and supporter of entrepreneurism through education, collaboration and mentorship – helps to inspire and galvanize small business innovators as they bring their original concepts to life.
