BASIC LAB TECHNIQUES

Certificate

The Basic Laboratory Techniques program is an integral part of the Biotechnology program, designed to equip students with basic technical skills required for various roles in laboratory settings.

Graduates of the Basic Laboratory Techniques Certificate may find employment as entry-level lab technicians performingsuch duties as media preparation and sterilization, and equipment/supply inventory control.

It is the mission of the Biotechnology & Biosciences Department to educate and train students in preparation for a career in the life sciences and biotechnology industries, by providing a hands-on, inquiry based learning environment, creating real-world learning opportunities coupled with career coaching and mentoring.
