This course will help you prepare to take the Certified Plant Professional Exam in North Carolina. The course is fully online and will have 2 hours of class work each week for 10 weeks. Each week a new set of information will open for you to complete and learn. There will not be any live or in-person meetings for this course, it is self-paced each week.

During your time in the course, you will learn information about multiple topics that are covered on the exam such as plant biology, plant selection, landscape design, soil, fertility, and plant identification. A large portion of this course will be related to learning about plants that might be present on the plant identification portion of the exam.

Completing this course does not guarantee you will pass the exam, but it will help you study and prepare to take the exam. The exam is a written exam and a plant identification exam. In order to be eligible to take the exam, you must complete an application and be currently enrolled at a postsecondary education institution, have earned an Associate or Bachelor's degree or have 2 years of experience in the green industry.
