Apply the basic concepts and principles of lifetime physical fitness and other health related factors. Emphasis is places on wellness through nutrition, weight control, exercise and fitness. Upon completion, students should be able to develop a personal training plan based on their own individual needs, abilities, and interests - a plan that promotes lifelong fitness and will work in the gym or at home!

This class will introduce the basics of safe movement and resistance training using bands and low impact weight training. Emphasis is placed on developing muscular strength, muscular endurance, and muscle tone. Emphasis is also placed on a circuit training method which involves a series of timed conditioning stations arranged for maximum benefit and variety.
